It Seems Like Forever Since I Made A Card

Got a lovely Stampendous stamp from my local craft shop and was desperate to do something with it and this is what I came up with, an 8x8" layered card...I do feel its missing something though!

Party Paws

Got my new party paws cd and I have to say I am loving it.

Shaving Foam Printing

I saw this on TV and was really excited about trying it out. I bought cheap shaving foam from Morrisons (26p) then....

1. Fill the tray with foam

2. Spray Mica Spray very close to the foam to get intense spots of colour

3. Swirl into random pattern

4. Place paper on top and make sure you press into the foam so the paper makes full contact with the Mica.

5. Lift paper off and use a ruler or similar to scrape the foam off the paper.

6. Lay the paper, face up, on to a piece of kitchen roll and wipe printed surface with a separate piece of kitchen roll to dry, then another piece to buff.

I used two types of card, coated card stock, which gave me a subtle colouring with no Mica glitter to it and a quality printing card that gave me an intense colour with Mica glitter. Both ways looked good and it was lots of fun.

I did reuse the same foam a few times and it just gave me different looks, definitely worth playing around with to make backing papers.

Saw these lovely Enchanted Fairies by Docrafts/Papermania.  They are super cute and girlie, my daughters loved them and this card.  If anybody is interested in the recipe it is as follows...

300gsm base card in white

250gsm glitter card in a pale pink

250gsm Pillars of Light card

A nice weight Acetate that will hold it's shape

Ultra Fine Glitter

Glue Pen

Super Tacky Tape (Red Tape)

Which ever glue you prefer to work with, I prefer a nice thick gel glue

This was a nice quick card to do once I had the idea in my head and like I said before perfect for young girls.

Young Boys Birthday Card

I needed to make a card for my sons friend and I was really pleased with how this card turned out...

I chose a 300gsm, 8"x8" brown card for my base and topped it with ruled card, corrugated card, film strip embellishment, a journalling tag cut in half, crumpled glassine paper and a Kenny K image superimposed on to a brick wall background and cut out with spellbinder dies.  The sentiment was a piece of ruled card stamped with happy birthday and backed with silver card.

Been Really Ill But...

Had to make a card for someone special who loves all things Kenny K, Can't think why :)

This is a mixture of a photo and Kenny K Digi Images coloured with Promarkers mounted on to an easel card with the Ferarri logo as the 'stopper'.
